We study two quantum systems as two-dimensional semiconductor quantum optical platforms and promote their scientific and technological applications: 1) single quantum two-level systems defined by defects in wide-gap two-dimensional semiconductors, and 2) a huge number of integrated quantum two-level systems with moiré excitons in transition metal dichalcogenides.
