His main interests are electron accelerators and quantum radiation, such as free electron lasers and laser Compton backscattering gamma-rays. He also has an interest in the new and renewable energy and their implementation toward sustainable development in ASEAN.

So far, he published more than 200-international reviewed papers, more than 150-international conference proceedings papers, 15-patents, and 97-invite/plenary lectures (@2024.4.1).
